Location, Location, Location
You will want to choose the best location for your satellite and/or antenna.
This location should have a good line of sight for the antenna or satellite direction that you'll be aiming for.

Mounting
Mount your antenna and/or Dish. For antenna mounting, check out www.antennaweb.org to find the best style of antenna for your specific location. They will also provide the direction and distance of the over-the-air sources in your region... all for free!
For this guide, we'll use the omni-directional HDTV antenna 30-2061 that will fit most users needs. This unit includes all the mounting hardware that you should need.

Running Wires
Attach the quad-shield coax cabling to both the antenna and the dish. Use cable 24-7155, connectors 33-7775, and tools 22-3250 and 22-9110 to complete this process. You will need multiple runs, so you may want to label what cable is running where with the 21-1510. Run these cables into your house to your desired television location.
Use 20-3880 to fill any outdoor holes drilled for mounting or running your cabling.
Use 58-10085 to help organize cables inside the home.

Satellite Receiver
Attach the coax cable from the satellite to the receiver (33-7703). Connect the receiver to the television (58-12605) with an HDMI cable (58-12485) or Component Video (58-12475). Attach the antenna coax to the antenna input on the television.
Plug your television and receiver into the Philips Surge protector and battery backup (58-12560).
Power your television and receiver on. Your receiver will ask for your location details to help you aim the satellite to the proper location. Use 33-1975 to help simplify the Satellite aiming process. You will need to call the DirectTV™ service number provided in the receiver manual to sign up for Satellite programming.
