How do I find products?
There are several ways to find products on our website: Search, Category Browse, and Manufacturer Index.
- Search - When you know a part number, keywords or manufacturer name, use Search. Type in your criteria in the search box and click the search arrow. Search results will display. If you find your search was too broad, search within the results to narrow down the product selection.
- Category Browse - Select a category from MCM's Online Catalog, located to the left, to browse to a preferred category.
- Manufacturer List - If you need a product from a particular manufacturer, use the Manufacturer List. Look for products by selecting the manufacturer of the parts you are searching for. From the search results page, search within the results to narrow the products presented.

What can I enter in the search box?
Type in any search criteria, including:
- Complete part numbers
- Keywords
- Manufacturer names
- Combination of any above
After you type in your search query, click the search arrow to begin your search. The actual search results will be displayed on the page. You may narrow your results by selecting "search within the results".

Can't find the product you're looking for?

How do I compare products?
On the search results page, select products for a side-by-side comparison of attributes to help you make your final choice. Check the products you want to compare, then click "Compare" at the top of the results listing.

How do I find more detailed technical information about a product?
We have additional technical information, including links to datasheets and manuals, for many products. When available, you'll find links to technical information on the product detail page under the "Specs" tab. If there is no additional technical information available, use our manufacturer list to access technical information on manufacturer sites.

Why aren't there any results for my search?
If no parts match your criteria, you have probably entered too many criteria or you may have mistyped your keyword or part number. Start a new search, use the Product Browse or reference the manufacturer list to find the product you need.

Can I view my contract prices in the search results?
Yes. You must be logged in to see prices based on your service agreement with us. After logging in, your price is shown throughout your entire online experience.

How do I update my search criteria?
Use the search path to return to a specific point in your search.
You can also search within the current set of results by entering criteria in the search box and clicking "Search within results" or "Restrict to this category".

How do I sort search results?
Use the "sort by" drop down menu to sort by SKU, manufacturer, manufacturer part number, availability, and price.

How do I find a product by a particular manufacturer?
There are number of ways to find a product by a particular manufacturer, including:
- Entering the manufacturer name in the search box to start your search.
- Using Advanced Search to search for a specific manufacturer.
- Clicking on a manufacturers name in the "Mfr. Info" secion of the product details page.

How do I use the Advanced Search page?
You can use the Advanced Search page to perform detailed combination searches. You may search using a part number, a keyword description, a manufacturer name, or any combination of the three. Additionally, you may further refine your search query by selecting search operators. For the "Part Number" query, you may select one of the following operators:
- Starts With - Will automatically put a wild card at the end of each piece of your search query
- Contains - Will automatically put a wild card at the beginning and end of each piece of your search query
- Exact - Will not add any wild cards to your search query
To use the "Description" query, you may select one of the following operators:
- Match All Words - Will return results that exactly match every term in your search query
- Match Any Words - Will return results that exactly match any term in your search query
To use the "Show Only" query, you may select one of the following operators:
- clearance items - Will return results that are currently at clearance pricing
- sale items - Will return results that are currently on sale
- new items - Will return results that are new
- In-stock items only - Will return results that are currently in stock
Here is an example of an Advanced Search using operators:
After you type in your search query and select either "Keyword" or "Part Number," click the "Search" button to begin your search. If your search query contains matches in more than one product category, a list of product categories will be displayed. The actual search results will be displayed at the bottom of the page. You may narrow your results by selecting a product category.
