The Rapport337 Multi-Function CCTV Tester with 2.5" LCD Monitor is an innovative, portable, hand-held tester that combines six primary functions into a single, easy to use device. It provides most of the testing functions for installation and maintenance of CCTV system in one compact, battery-operated, portable device.

Used for install of Pelco spectra PTZ in medical facility and was impressed with the protocol analyser and protocol controller. Beats the 2-way radio to confirm RS-485/joystick connectivity and control, and the field monitor also easily facilitated immediate camera focus. I'd recommend having at least one of these around...saves time...and time is money!

The Rapport is an excellent product for the money and a valuable tool for troubleshooting and setting up a system. the only thing I do not like about it is the colorbars signal is washed out looking but, it can be used for signal tracing and checking a cable run. this item eats batteries so always take the charger with you on a job. In conclusion I would recomend it for everyone. It's like an all in one tool. The more you use it the more you like it. T.Highers

I've been looking for some time for a unit that does all that this unit does. The display is really quite good. The color bars are cheesy, but useful for identification of an device. It would be nice if they were standard SMPTE bars. That way they could be used with a vector scope or waveform monitor. As stated in other reviews of this product, the battery life is nowhere near the specified four hours. I've tried multiple sets of rechargable batteries (NiMH) with the same dissapointing results. Actually sent my original unit back to MCM thinking it was defective, but the replacement unit operates the same. Make sure you have your charger at all times. Comes with a nice assortment of accessories, including a durable pouch. Also includes a DC charger for you car/truck, so you can charge it on the road. Charging takes a while (8 hours according to the manual). The unit is well constructed considering it has a plastic case. Most edges and corners are at least bevelled, so if you do drop the unit, it
